Über 175 Jahre Astrofotografie spannend dargestellt in Bild und Text.Großartig aufbereitete wissenschaftliche Hintergründe zu spektakulären Bildern.Weniger ein "Coffee-Table" Buch, sondern eher für den astronomisch interessierten Lesern.
Das Buch gibt es als gebundenes Buch und als Taschenbuch. Das zunächst gekaufte gebundene Buch musste ich zurückschicken. Die Qualität ist als lausig zu bezeichnen und es wirkt, als wenn jemand das zuhause ausgedruckt und beim nächsten Copy-Shop hat binden lassen. Der Ausdruck wirkt matt und das Papier ist dünn. Gegen das Licht gehalten, kann man mit etwas Geschick auch gleich die Rückseite lesen (und das dortige Bild erkennen).Ich habe mir nun das "Taschenbuch" gekauft. Hier ist die Qualität deutlich besser, das Papier ist glänzend. Man kann immer noch hindurchsehen, aber nur wenn man es vor das helle Fenster hält.Mit einem Preis von 35 Euro ist das Buch aber in Anbetracht der Qualität viel zu teuer. Für das Geld müssten die Seiten noch hochwertiger und das Cover fest sein.Inhaltlich ist das Buch ok und es bietet solide Informationen zu den Bildern (4 Sterne). Leider wechseln sich Bilder und Erklärungen stets ab, ohne irgendwelche "Abwechslung" (zusätzl. Informationen, Tabellen, Anekdoten, etc.) - etwas lieblos! Dafür würde ich persönlich nicht unbedingt Sterne abziehen. Der Abzug ergibt sich aus dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, also hier 2 Sterne.Als Mittelwert werden es dann 3 Sterne, wenn man Inhalt und P-L-Verhältnis gleichermaßen berücksichtigt.
